Hi Trippie J,
December 24, 2005, 5:17 am GMTMarquis reagent does not detect DXM specifically...but it will give you a blue/black readout. Also, high quality tabs will produce a nice "popfizzle" occasionally...you just have to watch for the reaction times, and any changes in color. You may want to check this link out: http://www.dancesafe.org/testingkits/instructions.php
Unless you've done a Mecke I'd be hesitant to label this DXM, as with a Marquis it is almost impossible to tell the difference. :)

Thanks trippie. Blonde is right, but considering the trend lately of dxm tabs comin outta florida, I sure wouldn't doubt it. -mod

Ive seen the "popfizzle" before but was followed w/ a vibrant royal purple. The reaction I saw was definately a reaction w/ DXM.
December 24, 2005, 4:16 pm GMTActually it does react w/ DXM.
"Dark Grey
DXM will emit a small amount of smoke first, then turn the reagent black after 5-10 seconds. Ecstasy-like substances may emit a tiny bit of smoke (generally not as much as DXM) and will begin turning color immediately."

My conclusion comes from a plethora of tests done, and a quick search on the site.
